Co-Curricular > Music > Rumpus in the Rain Forest Musical 2016

On December 6th and 7th, PYP students performed an exciting play called Rumpus in the Rain Forest, this play was directed by Ms. Charlotte. The students worked very hard during rehearsing every Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The costumes, set, music and most of all the acting was outstanding. Many classmates, teachers and parents came and watched the event. MYP students were also involved in this event by helping the PYP students with costumes, makeup and other backstage management. Overall, the production was a great success and everyone enjoyed watching the students preform.

Director’s Message

It has been a pleasure directing  “Rumpus in the Rainforest”, my first show at Shen Wai International School. The central  message of Rumpus comes through the wishes of the Frog: Frog isn’t satisfied with the status quo. He/she has greater aspirations than the average Frog: and even the sky is attainable. This is an inspirational message for our students. In the words of First Lady Michele Obama:

The only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work hard for them.

I hope all of the students, teachers and staff who worked so hard on Rumpus in the Rainforest will remember the dreams of Frog and keep reaching for the stars.

Enjoy the show and thank you to everyone who contributed to the performance!
