Are you Ready for the New School Year?

After many summer months of staying up late, kids are in for a big adjustment as they head back to school. To help your child transition back to waking up early, it's important to help your child establish a new sleep routine. Start with going to bed one hour earlier every night and waking up early until the routine is established.

It is still the high peak of Hand-foot-mouth, flu in Shenzhen. Please pay attention to your child's health condition. If they feel unwell, please keep him/her at home and see a doctor as soon as possible. Have a look at the "Health and Safety information" on the SWIS website. You can find more the details there.

Hand-washing is the best way to prevent many types of infections, and is especially important after using the bathroom and before eating. Parents should explain to children why it's important to wash their hands, and should set a good example by following a hand-washing routine at home.

To help children grow healthily, we recommend your child to have his/her regular health examination. It is recommended to do the health examination at the beginning of each new school year. Below are some suggested health check programs: general physical examination,optic examination, assessment of immunization status and recommendations about the child's health needs.

Undergoing an annual health examination provides us a great opportunity to know more about our children's health conditions. Make an appointment with local clinics/hospitals or consult your family doctor. Ask for their professional advice and keep a healthy lifestyle.
