SWIS Robotics, FRC SR-7635 Team
Posted 03/08/2019 01:46PM

After days and days of tightening screws, firing rivets, mounting cables, and checking code, the SWIS Robotics team finally finished building their robot for the 2019 FRC season.

"FRC" stands for "FIRST Robotics Competition" and is one of the most prominent STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) competitions in the world. This year's theme is "Deep Space" and robots have to complete a series of missions to ensure a safe evacuation of supplies in a space colony.

In March, SWIS Robotics will be flying to America to attend the Finger Lakes Regionals; however, the robot has already taken flight on its journey to the States. The team will be focusing on getting the Rookie All-Star award, which assesses teams based on how they carry out community events and how well they raise awareness of STEM.

Members of the SWIS Robotics team would like to thank the SWIS community for the support they have granted us. We will be sure to represent the qualities of SWIS and make SWIS proud – and be giving constant updates on our team's progress along the way.
